A bolt with a nut and a large washer with a head width of 1.2 mm, that is the upper end of the family offered. It is aimed at the heaviest joints of a motorcycle in a large scale, where a more slender head looks unconvincing.
Responsibility details are not available.
Twelve tenths of a millimeter is the highest size offered, and in 1:12 scale it works out as a head 14.4 mm wide. Joints that heavy do not occur everywhere on a real machine. They belong to the front wheel axle, to the clamping bolts of the lower fork yoke or to the swingarm pivot, that is where the greatest forces pass.
The assembly consists of three parts: the head, the nut and a washer of large diameter. The nut makes it possible to close the joint from behind as well, which is important precisely at a wheel axle, because that tends to be openly in view from the other side and a missing end is more of a nuisance there than in covered places.
With the heaviest grade one rule applies: use it sparingly. When the same size appears on a clutch cover as well as on a wheel axle, the difference a large scale is meant to show instead disappears. Credibility rests on the individual joints differing from each other exactly as they differ on the subject.
A wheel axle is moreover one of the few places where a fastener is visible in full, including its end. The viewer looks at the model from the side and that is where the eye falls first. It therefore pays to start here and only then to think about the rest of the machine. When the most conspicuous joint is right, the others can be chosen with a calmer head.
