A sheet of decals in 1:72 scale with the markings of RAF aircraft as they appeared in 1990, part two. Intended to complete a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Royal Air Force re-marked its machines several times over the years. Toward the end of the 1980s and at the start of the 1990s, a form with subdued low-visibility insignia and codes settled in on a number of types, and it differs markedly from the earlier colorful markings. It is precisely this period that the sheet relates to; this is its second part.
Decals for 1:72 scale with the markings of RAF aircraft as of 1990: national insignia, codes, serial numbers and accompanying lettering. Which particular machines and units the sheet covers, and in how many variants, is given by the manufacturer's enclosed placement guide; go by it for the position of the individual elements as well. The sheet is an accessory for a finished kit and can be combined with your own stock of markings.
Decals of this kind are usually applied by the wet method: cut the element out together with its backing, immerse it in lukewarm water for a few seconds, leave it to rest and then slide it onto the glossy surface of the model. Draw the excess water off and settle the joint with a decal softener, so the decal follows the shapes. Before you soak the sheet, however, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version: a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined.
The kit, paints, decal softener and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
