Top Studio 1:12 resin hose joints (1.5 mm) are a detailing accessory for models of motorcycles. They give the routing of hoses a faithful metal termination.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of hose joints and end fittings from the Japanese brand Top Studio in 1:12 scale, cut for the 1.5 mm size. It is not a model or a kit, but an accessory for finishing a model of a motorcycle. The middle size of the range on offer suits most of the ordinary routing on the engine and the chassis.
What the set is for
An injection-molded kit deals with hoses and their end fittings in a simplified way, often as a single part and without a separate fitting. Resin castings have sharper shapes and stand up to the small details that are clearly visible in this scale. When a modeler replaces the production routing with his own tubing or wire, it is precisely the terminations that decide whether the result comes across faithfully. The figure of 1.5 mm gives the size of the set, that is, the thickness of the routing it is intended for.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, so that the mold release agent disappears. Separate them from the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a fine saw, level the cut with a file and do any sanding wet with respiratory protection. Resin is bonded exclusively with super glue. Start the painting with a thin coat of base, otherwise the paint rubs off a smooth surface. A metallic impression is supported by metallic shades and a fine emphasis of the recesses with a dark shade.
This is an accessory for building a model, not a kit in its own right. The base model, hoses, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
