This is a detail accessory, not a kit. A banjo fitting is a type of joint that on a real car connects a pressure hose to a component, most often the brake line to the caliper or to the master cylinder, and also the oil and fuel lines. It consists of a ring-shaped body and a hollow bolt that passes through it, and the fluid flows along a channel inside the bolt. This is exactly the joint that tends to be the weakest point on a model, because a kit usually treats it as nothing more than a suggested stub.
What the set solves
The set is combined with modeling tubing of a suitable diameter and with other hardware. The designation Set A distinguishes this variant from the other variants of the same range, which Top Studio offers alongside it, and the individual variants differ in the design or the size of the fitting. The 1:12 scale means large motorcycle and single-seater models, where the fluid lines are clearly visible and any simplification is glaring.
Work from the component toward the hose: first try dry whether the fitting seats in the chosen place, and only then drill. Drill the holes with a micro drill bit gradually, in smaller diameters. Bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate) in a minimal amount applied with a pin or a wire, because an excess of glue floods the fine shape and the detail disappears. Fit the tubing only after the glue has set and run it in a smooth curve without sharp kinks. A metallic look is supported by a dark wash, which brings out the parting line between the ring and the bolt.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit, tubing, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
