A mixed-media detail set from the Japanese maker Top Studio focused on the cockpit of a model of the Williams-Renault FW14B in 1:12 scale. It combines resin and metal parts, photo-etched metal plates, decals and seat belts for a convincing fit-out of the driver's compartment. It is not a kit of the car but an accessory for a model you already own.
The Williams-Renault FW14B is the legendary Formula 1 car of 1992, powered by a Renault V10 engine and famous for its active suspension and advanced electronics. The elaborate cockpit is one of its iconic features.
Wash any mold release agent off the resin and metal parts, cut off the casting blocks and fit them to cleaned-up locations. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or epoxy, not with plastic cement. Bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and sand resin with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model of the car are not included in the package.
