This is an aftermarket detail part from the Japanese brand Top Studio in 1:12 scale. It is not a model of the car but an accurate replacement antenna (the telemetry rod) for a model of the McLaren Honda MP4/6 in 1:12 scale. The thin part looks more convincing than the soft plastic part from the base kit and holds its shape better.
The McLaren Honda MP4/6 was the Formula 1 car of the 1991 season with a twelve-cylinder Honda engine, with which Ayrton Senna took the drivers' world title. The antenna served to pass data between the car and the pits.
Clean the part up and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Try the seating dry before gluing it in and paint the thin part in the matching shade once a primer has been applied.
The detail part does not hold the model of the car itself. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
