Firethorn Scrub shrubby growth

Scenic growth for making bushes and dense scrub on a diorama. According to the name it is a shrubby growth in a warm, reddish shade that suits an autumn scene, overgrown corners and a flowering bush beside the wall of a house. The material is taken in pieces, shaped with the fingers and glued directly onto the surface, so several bushes of different sizes come out of one package.

Use

• Denser bushes and scrub on a diorama and on vignettes
• Overgrown fences, walls, field boundaries and roadsides
• Hiding joints in the base and transitions that did not come off well
• A color accent in an otherwise green or dried-out scene

How to plant the growth

Tear off a piece the size of the finished bush and loosen it between your fingers so that it does not form a compact clump. Coat the surface with dispersion glue or use a drop of super glue and press the bush into place. Plant it in irregular groups and in varying sizes; even spacing looks artificial. At the foot of a bush it helps to sprinkle static grass or fine foliage so that the transition into the terrain is not abrupt. A strong shade is best used sparingly as an accent; over a larger area it will overwhelm the color of the scene. Fix the finished growth with diluted dispersion glue.
