The North American T-28 is an American trainer from the turn of the 1940s and 1950s, which replaced older machines for basic training. It has a piston radial engine, a tandem cabin under long glazing and nose gear, thanks to which it handles on the ground much like the jets the pupils were to move on to. The T-28A version was the first production form of this type.
The plastic parts of the model in 1:144 scale and the documentation for finishing it. At this scale the aircraft has a span of roughly 8 centimeters, so the assembly stays modest and the build is a matter of a few evenings. The range of parts, the marking variants and the recommended shades are given in the instructions enclosed with the package.
In a small scale the cleanliness of the joints decides: nip the parts off a little away from the joint, sand the remainder and try the surfaces dry before gluing. Prepare small components such as the landing gear legs or the propeller separately and fit them only at the end. Apply the paint thinly, so the engraved lines are not clogged, and mask the cabin glazing rather than outlining it with a brush. A matte or semi-gloss varnish comes in useful at the end to unify the surface.
The paints, the glue and the filler are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
