Responsibility details are not available.
An easy-to-build plastic kit of the guided missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG-993) in the small collector's scale of 1:1250 from the manufacturer Hobby Boss. The kit offers a low part count, the choice of a full hull or a waterline version and an enclosed display stand. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
USS Kidd was the lead ship of the class of guided missile destroyers of the same name in the US Navy. These vessels were based on the hull of the Spruance class destroyers but were more heavily armed for the air defense of task forces. She entered service at the beginning of the 1980s.
In a small scale a clean coat of gray and a fine separation of the decks in a darker shade come out best. Assemble the hull, clean up the parting joint and lay the base color on with an airbrush in thin coats. Pick out the detail of the superstructure with a brush, a fine wash will deepen the shadows and a dry brush will pull out the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
