German What If tank optics in 1:35 scale is an accessory set of parts for building hypothetical versions of German armored vehicles. It is not a vehicle kit but an accessory fitted into a model that has already been built.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Yamamoto Model Parts range belongs among accessories in 1:35 scale and is intended for so-called What If builds, that is models of machines that stayed on paper or remained projects. The subject of the set is the optics of German armored vehicles. It is not a standalone vehicle model but an accessory to a base kit, which you fit in place of the parts from the kit yourself.
Vision ports, sight heads and optic covers are among the details of armored vehicles that suffer most from the simplifications of an injection mold. They tend to be shallow, blunt or merged with the surrounding surface. That is exactly why small accessories of this kind show on a model more plainly than far more laborious work on the hull. On hypothetical builds they also help to unify the look of a machine that has no period photographic reference.
Separate the parts carefully from the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a fine saw, sand the cut face and degrease it before gluing. Bond small parts with super glue, dosing a drop with a pin or a piece of wire so that the glue does not run over the surface. Unify the base with a filler primer before painting. Leave the optic lenses for the very end of the build: a drop of clear gloss varnish or clear resin gives the vision port the depth and reflection that dry paint never will.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
