Quinta Studio 1:48 F/A-18A++ is a pre-colored interior on decal paper. It is applied over a gloss surface and replaces the flat cockpit parts. Intended for the Hasegawa kit.

A set of pre-colored decals for the cockpit of the upgraded single-seat Hornet in 1:48 scale. The instruments, the labels and the colored areas are printed in production. It is an add-on applied to the parts of your own kit, not a stand-alone model. The target kit is Hasegawa.
Before you even touch the decals, give some time to the surface. Cut the cockpit parts off the sprue with a margin, sand the remains of the gates away to nothing and rid the surfaces of dust and grease from your fingers. Then comes the base coat and above all enough time for it to mature: under fresh paint, water behaves unpredictably. Only then comes a thin layer of gloss varnish. It closes the pores of the coat and decides whether the edges of the decal merge with the surroundings or a white veil appears. A sanded irregularity that you can barely see under flat paint will show under the thin print as a light streak, and that can no longer be put right.
Release the elements in lukewarm water after about fifteen seconds, transfer them one at a time, adjust the position with a damp brush and blot up the excess water with a cotton bud laid against the side. Do not use a decal softener or setter; their chemistry will attack the printed resin and spoil the element. Once dry, blend the whole area with a flat or semi-flat clear coat, which also protects the print during the further steps.
