Transport Case Set 1, Type A is a set of transport cases in 1:24 scale from Yamamoto Model Parts. It completes a garage scene, a workshop and the luggage compartment of a car model.

The set of transport cases from Yamamoto Model Parts belongs among the small accessories that give a diorama its story. It is not a vehicle kit or a figure but separate equipment for a scene: cases that can be stood on a garage floor, stacked beside a workbench, laid on the bed of a service truck or left open by a stripped engine. Scale 1:24 matches common car models, so the set fits into most automotive scenes.
An empty diorama looks static. It is small things like cases, crates or tools that give the viewer a clue about the size of a space and suggest that somebody moves around in it. The cases can also be used in other ways than they look at first sight: as an improvised table, as a load on a truck bed or as part of the luggage compartment on a model with an opening rear. The range has four separate sets and this one carries the designation Type A.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent before painting and let them dry thoroughly; with small accessories it is worth doing whatever the material. Sand the places where the part was separated carefully with fine sandpaper so that the edges stay sharp. Paint in thin coats: primer first, then the shade itself and finally edge highlighting. Cases look convincing when they are not all the same, and a different shade, a different degree of sheen and a little wear on the edges do more than a perfect spray job. Suggest dust and dirt with a dark wash that runs into the corners and around the fittings.
This is a scenic accessory, not a vehicle model. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
