DUAL EXO SCENERY – 24A – LIGHT WOOD 60ML.

Light Wood, AK interactive acrylic paint, 60 ml

An acrylic modeling paint from the AK interactive brand. The name gives the scenic Dual Exo Scenery subrange, the name of the shade Light Wood and the 60 ml volume of the bottle. It dries to a satin coat, that is to a semi-gloss.

Layering and the dry brush

Acrylic is rewarding to layer. You lay the base tone on evenly, let it settle and then add the next shade only where texture is meant to stand out. The dry brush technique suits that: wipe the paint off the brush almost completely and pass lightly over the edges and raised parts, which are brought out while the recesses stay darker. The key is patience: ten light passes are better than pressing down once. Anyone who wants to go the other way can instead emphasize the recesses with a darker shade.

Use

• Mix the paint well before working.
• Lay the base coat on evenly and let it settle.
• To bring out texture, use the dry brush technique with an almost wiped brush.
• Build the coats up gradually, as that keeps the result under better control.
• Check the thinning and the drying time against the label.
• At the end the surface can be sealed with a varnish in the degree of sheen you choose.

Who the paint is for

For modelers who work on scenic bases and want a particular shade from the AK interactive palette in a semi-gloss form. The 60 ml volume is built for repeated use rather than a one-off touch-up.

When working with an airbrush, put on protection for your airways and ensure an exchange of air. Close the bottle after use, keep it out of the reach of children and keep to the instructions on the label.
