The T-90A is an upgraded version of the Russian T-90 main battle tank with a welded turret. In design it follows on from the T-72 line, uses a 125 mm gun with an autoloader and carries additional reactive protection. Its low silhouette and the characteristic layout of its running gear with large road wheels make it an easily recognizable type. The Uran-9, by contrast, is an unmanned ground vehicle, a remotely operated tracked vehicle of markedly smaller dimensions that is controlled from a separate station. The combination of the two machines in one scale is interesting for modelers precisely because of the contrast in size.
Work from the running gear: on both vehicles, finish the wheels, the tracks and the suspension before you close the hull. Fit the tracks on a flat surface, so that the model does not stand crooked. Apply the paint in thin coats from an airbrush over a uniform primer; large single-color areas are brought to life by a light brightening of the centers of the panels. For weathering, a dark wash in the engraved lines, dust pigments on the running gear and a fine highlighting of the edges work well. On the smaller of the vehicles, work more sparingly, as overdone weathering shows at once on a small area.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
