A decal sheet with the Ukrainian digital camouflage pattern for figures in 1:24 scale. A substitute for the laborious spraying of a pixel pattern on a small area.
Responsibility details are not available.
Digital camouflage patterns are made up of small rectangular fields that join up to form a pixel structure. That is precisely the hardest thing on a model: in 1:24 scale a single field measures a fraction of a millimeter and masking them cleanly with a brush or a template is all but impossible. A decal sheet gets round that work, because the pattern is printed ready-made and even over the whole area.
The sheet carries the Ukrainian digital camouflage pattern in a form intended for figures in 1:24 scale. The elements are cut out to the shape of the part they are to go on, so the sheet is not tied to one particular figure.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version; a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined for good, whereas a wet decal can be soaked later as well. With an ordinary wet sheet proceed as follows: coat the base with gloss varnish, cut the element off, soak it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and, once it has released, slide it off the paper into place. Blot up the excess water, straighten the element and let it dry. On curved surfaces and in the folds of clothing a decal softener helps, drawing the film to the surface. At the end cover everything with matte varnish so that the sheen of the edge disappears.
The sheet suits modelers of figures in a large scale and builders of dioramas on present-day subjects. The figures, paints, varnishes and softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
