This item is not a classic glued model but a kit of plastic bricks from the Polish brand COBI. The parts join by snapping into one another, so you need no glue, filler or paints for the build. The shape of the aircraft comes about by putting the individual parts together according to the enclosed instructions, and the finished model is firm, can be handled and put straight on a shelf. Check the number of parts, the dimensions and the recommended age on the packaging.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat attack aircraft intended for the direct support of ground troops. In design terms it is remarkable in that the whole aircraft is built around a large-caliber rotary cannon housed in the nose. Two turbofan engines are mounted high on the sides of the rear fuselage, the tail surfaces are twin and the pilot's station is protected by an armored tub. Its rugged look and low flying speed earned it the nickname Warthog.
The build goes ahead following a picture instruction sheet step by step, much as with other brick-built kits. Nothing is cut or sanded, so the build is clean and can be interrupted at any time. Take the parts from the pile gradually following the steps of the instructions, so that the small components do not get lost, and work on a light surface. We recommend dusting the finished model with a soft brush from time to time.
The kit is supplied unassembled. Glue and paints are not needed, as the parts join mechanically.
