1:144 Aero L-39 Albatros pitot tubes from the manufacturer MASTER is an accurate turned metal accessory that replaces the fragile plastic airspeed probe on the nose.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT an aircraft kit but a detail accessory. It is a miniature turned brass pitot tube intended for models of the L-39 Albatros trainer in 1:144 scale. The metal part is finer and far more durable than the thin plastic molding, which is difficult to produce from a mold and breaks off easily.
The Aero L-39 Albatros is a Czechoslovak jet trainer with a long service career with dozens of air forces around the world. The pitot tube senses the dynamic pressure of the air for measuring airspeed and on the slender nose of the Albatros it is a prominent detail even in a small scale.
Cut the original plastic spike off and clean it up, set the metal tube into the prepared hole and fix it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Brass holds its shape and can be painted or discreetly polished. We recommend working with tweezers and degreasing the part before gluing.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
