1:144 BAC/EE Canberra - Pitot Tube is a turned metal replacement pitot tube for models of the British Canberra bomber in 1:144 scale from the manufacturer MASTER.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft model but a small replacement part. The turned metal pitot tube replaces the plastic molding, which in this scale is always too thick and fragile, and which cannot be decently repaired once broken off. The metal part has the right shape and a thin wall, yet it withstands normal handling of a finished model. The manufacturer is Poland's MASTER, which has long specialized in turned metal accessories for modelers.
The pitot tube measures the dynamic pressure of the oncoming air and is part of the system for measuring airspeed. On the real Canberra it is one of the conspicuous details on the nose, or rather on the wing, and thin projections like that are the weakest point of plastic kits. Replacing it with a metal part is therefore one of the simplest modifications with an immediately visible result.
For modelers who build the Canberra in 1:144 scale and want to raise the level of detail without major surgery on the kit. The modification is manageable even for the less experienced; all you need for it is a micro drill, a sharp knife and super glue.
This is an accessory for modelers, not a kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
