A resin accessory set from LACI in 1:144 scale for models of the Boeing 737 in the generation known as the Classic, that is the 300, 400 and 500 versions. The parts replace the sections supplied in the plastic kit and make it possible to build the aircraft with the high-lift devices opened out - in the state in which you see the aircraft on approach to landing. The set does not contain a model of the airplane and assumes the kit you already have.
The Classic generation came about by re-engining the older 737s with high-bypass CFM56-3 turbofan engines. The larger fan diameter would not fit under the low-set wing, and so the nacelle received its characteristic flattened bottom with an intake of oval cross-section - the most conspicuous identifying mark of the whole series. The three versions differ from one another in the length of the fuselage but share the same wing, so one set covers all three. That is exactly why the name gives a range of versions rather than one particular form.
First wash the resin parts in warm water with detergent to free them of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc rather than breaking them, and level the surface by damp sanding with breathing protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Do not skimp on the dry trial - the trailing edge of the wing from the kit tends to be thicker than it should be and has to be thinned, so that the extended parts follow on at the right angle.
The set contains resin parts and is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
