A photo-etched set intended to improve the exterior detail of a model of the Tu-134 airliner in 1:144 scale. It contains one etched brass fret with fine parts that replace or add features which plastic cannot render faithfully in this small scale. The set is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for Tu-134 models.
The Tu-134 is a Soviet twin-engined jet airliner with the engines at the rear of the fuselage, produced from the mid-1960s. It was the backbone of regional and international traffic in the countries of the Eastern Bloc and also served in military and training roles. Characteristic features are the glazed nose on some versions and the low-set tailplane.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and make the bends over a ruler or in a photo-etch bending tool. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with a special thin glue for photo-etch. Before applying paint it is advisable to degrease the surface and spray a primer.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
