An accessory set of CF34-8E engine nacelles and landing flaps for a model of the Embraer E170 in 1:144 scale, intended for Karaya kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Embraer E170 is a Brazilian regional airliner with its engines slung on pylons under the wing. It is powered by engines of the CF34-8E series. The nacelles and the extended landing flaps are among the most demanding shapes on the whole airframe, and in a small scale they decide the final impression of a model more than anything else.
Engine nacelles and landing flaps in 1:144 scale for Karaya kits. The number of parts, the extent of the work on the wing and the recommended order of building are stated in the manufacturer's instructions; use them to set the position of the pylons as well, so that both nacelles sit at the same height.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, so reach for super glue, or for epoxy, which gives more time to line things up. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down. Wash everything in lukewarm soapy water and degrease it before painting. Paint the inside of the nacelle and the areas exposed by the extended flaps before you seat the parts on the wing; after that a brush will no longer reach them. In 1:144 scale it pays to paint in thin coats, so that the fine changes of shape do not fill in.
The aircraft kit, paints, glue and decals are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
