Finnish national insignia 1:144 from Mark I is a decal sheet of period Finnish aircraft insignia in eight sizes, in two complete sets.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of conventional water-slide, wet decals from Mark I in 1:144 scale. The sheet holds period Finnish aircraft national insignia in eight diameters, roughly 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 1000 and 1200 mm full size, and in two complete sets, so it will serve for several models or for several positions on an airframe.
The blue national insignia was the Finnish Air Force marking from its founding in 1918 until the mid-1940s. Historically it had no connection with later symbolism: it came from the personal emblem of the donor of the first aircraft and became a traditional Finnish military symbol of that period. The set allows Finnish machines of the interwar and wartime period to be marked faithfully.
Prepare the surface under the decal with gloss varnish. Dip the decal in lukewarm water for a few seconds, slide it into place and draw the excess water off gently. Using a softener will help the decal settle onto the detail; at the end seal it with clear varnish to the sheen you want.
This is a decal set, not a kit. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
