A printed base for a model in 1:144 scale from Peewit with a printed area of 10.3x10.3 cm combining a grass surface and a concrete apron.
Responsibility details are not available.
A printed paper base for displaying models in 1:144 scale effectively. The printed area measures 10.3x10.3 cm and captures the transition between grass and a concrete surface, that is the typical surroundings of an airfield apron. It is neither a diorama nor a kit; it is a finished ground you simply stand a model on. The result is immediate and a model stands out on it far better than on an empty shelf or in a glass case.
Back the base with card or a thin wooden board so that it does not curl. Choose PVA glue and apply it in a thin even layer, or use double-sided tape. It is a good idea to seal the print with an overspray of matte varnish, which at the same time kills the sheen of the paper and evens the surface out with the model. The transitions and joints in the concrete can be brought out with a dark wash and a light dusting of pigment; cover the edges of the base with a thin strip of trim or sand them down.
For collectors of models in 1:144 scale who want to set their displayed models in surroundings but do not want to start building a diorama. It also suits photographing finished work quickly.
This is an accessory for displaying a model. The model, figures and paints are not included in the package.
