An injection-molded plastic kit of the four-engined Lockheed C-140A JetStar jet aircraft in 1:144 scale from Roden. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted set, with parts in light gray plastic, clear parts for the cabin and the windows and a decal sheet. It is the military utility version of the well-known business jet.
The Lockheed JetStar was one of the first jet aircraft meant for business and utility transport, recognizable by the four engines placed on the sides of the rear fuselage and by the auxiliary tanks on the wings. The military version C-140A served among other things to check navigation and landing aids. The elegant machine was built for a number of years and became an icon of the beginnings of business jet travel.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Sand the joints of the fuselage and the auxiliary tanks on the wings carefully for the sake of the smooth metal finish. Fit the clear parts of the cabin and the windows only after the clear coat, and lay the decals on a gloss base so that they settle without silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
