This is a clear vacuum-formed canopy for Spitfire Mk.IX models in 1:144 scale from the brand Brengun. It is not a model of the airplane but a clear accessory on its own with which you replace the thicker canopy from an ordinary kit. It is based on the dimensions of the Eduard kit.
A vacuum-formed canopy is markedly thinner and clearer than an injection-molded part. It improves the view into the pilot's compartment and looks more realistic at the small 1:144 scale. It tends to be supplied so as to allow the canopy to be shown either closed or open.
Cut the part out with a small margin and sand the edges carefully flat on fine abrasive paper. It is attached with clear canopy glue or with a small amount of super glue, so that no fogging occurs. Mask the frames and spray with an airbrush.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
