Quinta Studio vacuum-formed clear canopies are replacement cockpit glazing for models of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in 1:144 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of vacuum-formed clear canopies (cockpit covers) for models of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in 1:144 scale. It is not an aircraft model but replacement glazing, which takes the place of the thicker plastic part from a kit. The package holds three pieces, so you have a spare in case of damage while cutting out or gluing.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was one of the most important British fighters of the Second World War. The Rolls-Royce Merlin engine with a two-stage supercharger gave it back its advantage at altitude over the opponents of the day and placed it among the most successful versions of the whole Spitfire family.
Cut the part out carefully with sharp scissors closely around its edge, fit it to the fuselage and glue it with an adhesive suitable for clear parts or with a small amount of thin super glue. Vacuum-formed glazing is thin and more transparent than the plastic original, so handle it with care and varnish it thinly.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
