Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale from Trumpeter captures the Soviet Tu-160 strategic bomber with the NATO reporting name BlackJack. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, allows a choice of the wing spread or swept back and offers several color schemes. It is a large and striking piece for a collection.
The Tu-160 is the largest and heaviest supersonic combat aircraft ever built. Its variable-geometry wing allows it both economical flight and high speeds. Four powerful engines and large bomb bays make it the backbone of the strategic forces. The machine served with the Soviet and later the Russian and Ukrainian air forces.
Decide on the position of the wings before gluing. Join the large surfaces with liquid cement for plastic and fill them carefully. Spray the light metallic scheme with an airbrush, accentuate the panels with a fine wash and apply the decals onto a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
