Photo-etched seat belts for British aircraft in 1:144 scale are an accessory set for a kit you have already bought, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched parts from the Czech maker Brengun meant for fitting out the cabins of British aircraft in the small 1:144 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory: the package holds neither the model nor the seats, and the set is installed into a kit you already have.
British aircraft of the Second World War used multi-point harnesses whose straps came together on a buckle in the middle of the chest. It is precisely those that create on a model the characteristic pattern that distinguishes a cabin at once from an empty molding. In 1:144 scale nothing else can be fitted into the interior any more, so the belts are the most effective investment in detail, especially on models with the canopy slid back.
First prepare the seat and let it dry, and only then reach for the belts. Lay the sheet on a hard surface, cut the fret tabs through with a sharp blade and lift the part out with tweezers; never break it out. Before shaping, warm the sheet briefly over a flame so that it softens and stops springing. Then fold the straps over the edge of the cushion and let them hang loose rather than cling to the surface; carelessness is in place here, because belts stretched straight look unnatural. The painting can be managed in two strokes: a light matte shade on the textile webbing and a metal color on the buckle and the fittings. Dose the super glue with a pin, as a surplus would stick the straps together.
The set is an aftermarket accessory. The kit, the seats, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
