Roden Vickers VC10 K4 - a plastic kit of the British jet aircraft in the aerial tanker version in 1:144 scale from Roden.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British four-engine Vickers VC10 jet aircraft in the K4 tanker version in 1:144 scale from Roden. The model captures the form of a machine converted for refueling in flight. The smaller 1:144 scale is popular with collectors of airliners and military aircraft.
The Vickers VC10 was a British long-range airliner with the characteristic arrangement of four engines at the rear of the fuselage and a high-mounted tailplane. Some of the machines were later converted into aerial tankers for the RAF. The K4 version came from the conversion of earlier long-range VC10 airliners and served to refuel other aircraft in flight.
Fill and sand the joints of the fuselage and the wings carefully, so that the parting lines disappear. Use thin cement for the plastic. Apply a gloss coat before the decals, and a matte coat will unify the surface at the end. Mask the canopy glazing while spraying.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
