A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from HGW that imitates the texture of light wood. It is not a kit but a surface decal set for models of the Sopwith Camel biplane. The decals faithfully imitate the growth rings and the texture of wood in the matching scale, so that even without experience of painting wood grain in oils you reach a convincing wooden surface on the cockpit and other parts.
The sheets carry a continuous drawing of wood texture, which you match into a flowing surface once applied. The finish is light, tuned toward faded softwood.
