A set of markings for a model of the Bell AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter in 1:48 scale, the seventh item of the series, devoted to the machines of unit HML-367.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bell AH-1G Cobra is an American attack helicopter with a narrow fuselage and a two-place cabin in which the crew sits in tandem. The slim cross-section of the fuselage is the identifying mark of the type: against transport machines it almost disappears head-on. The helicopter sits on skids and carries hardpoints under stub wings. A model therefore offers large continuous areas of fuselage on which markings show well.
The set is listed for the AH-1G in 1:48 scale and concentrates on the machines of the unit listed under the designation HML-367, nicknamed Scarface. The number in the name tells the individual parts of the series apart; several sets for the same type of helicopter come out in it, and each covers different machines. The extent of the set, the number of machines covered and the exact placement of the individual features are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Markings are applied to a finished and perfectly dry coat of paint, not to fresh paint. The surface has to be smooth and free of dust and grease; any unevenness under a marking then shows more than it would on bare varnish. Lay the placement out dry beforehand according to the instructions and check the position against the panel divisions and rows of rivets, so that a marking does not sit across an edge it cannot follow. The particular application procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions; go by those for the final coat of varnish as well.
The model of the helicopter, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
