The Bell AH-1G Cobra is an American attack helicopter of the second half of the 1960s, derived from a machine of the Huey line. It has a narrow fuselage with two seats in tandem and it rests on skids. It is precisely the narrow, smooth flank that gives a model a large area where insignia and legends stand out, so the final look of the build stands or falls with the choice of decals.
This is a stand-alone decal sheet in 1:48 scale, that is an accessory for a kit. It is the eighth part of the series devoted to the AH-1G helicopter and it carries the designation HML367 Scarface in the name. Which machines it covers, what codes and legends it carries and how many options you can build from it are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with it.
Proceed as with an ordinary wet decal. Cut the item out as close to the artwork as possible, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest on paper until the film starts to slide freely. The base should be glossy; on matte paint a silvery veil forms under the film. Slide the item into place, draw the water off with a cloth from the center to the edges and use a decal softener to pull it into the engravings. Place large insignia right the first time, because once the film has dried it tears when moved. Unify the finished work with a clear coat.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive form. A self-adhesive film that has been soaked is ruined, whereas a wet decal that has not been soaked can be soaked later. What is supplied is the sheet alone; the kit, paints and decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
