Two Bosch headlights for models of German vehicles of the Second World War in 1:16 scale, in the rendition designated as open.
Responsibility details are not available.
Bosch headlights were typical equipment on German military vehicles of the Second World War. They used to sit on the fenders or on the front of the hull, that is, exactly where the eye of a viewer of a finished model looks first. That is precisely why the difference between a kit part and a separately made accessory shows on them: a sharper edge to the body, a cleaner circle and a deeper reflector bowl.
Two headlights in 1:16 scale, in the rendition that the name designates as open, that is, with the face of the reflector exposed. 1:16 is a large and merciless scale; the model is studied almost like a real object and the shape of a headlight cannot be fudged in it. The set suits vehicle kits and larger dioramas and scenic arrangements alike.
Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the area flat, so that the headlight sits on the fender on its whole foot. The parts are not polystyrene and ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on them; use cyanoacrylate glue. Wash and degrease them before painting. Paint the reflector bowl in a gloss silver shade before you glue the headlight to the vehicle, because afterwards you will no longer reach into it with a brush. The glass can be imitated with a drop of clear gloss varnish, which you let harden in the bowl. The outer body is usually painted in the same shade as the vehicle.
For builders of large models of German equipment who are bothered by a coarse headlight on finished work, and for those who damaged the part during the build and are looking for a replacement. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
