A figure of a Czechoslovak soldier as he looked in 1938, in 1:16 scale. It suits dioramas and standalone display on a base.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the history of the Czechoslovak army the year 1938 is connected with the defense of the border region and with the general mobilization of September. The figure captures a soldier as he looked in this period. It will be of use wherever a scene is to be given a human dimension: beside vehicles, at fortifications or on a base of its own.
The 1:16 scale is among the largest worked with in modeling. An adult figure measures around eleven centimeters in it, so the stitching, the buckles and the small items of equipment stand out on the uniform and the figure will bear a close look. That is exactly why this scale tends to be the choice for display pieces in which the figure itself is the main theme.
Cut off the excess material with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder carefully. Before painting, wash and degrease the surface so that the paint holds. It has proved itself to apply a covering base first, then to build the uniform from a darker shade toward a lighter one and to finish the face with thin glazes. The recommended shades and the assembly procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
It will be reached for by builders of dioramas from the period of the First Republic and by collectors of figures who are after a large format. Paints, glue and a base are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
