The box from MN-hobby contains a resin figure for experienced modelers, depicting a member of Infantry Regiment 29 attached to the units of the State Defense Guard (Straz obrany statu, SOS) in 1938. The large 1:16 scale allows an exceptionally detailed rendering of the uniform, the gear and the soldier's expression.
The State Defense Guard was an armed corps built up in the second half of the 1930s to protect the Czechoslovak borders in the tense period before Munich. Soldiers of the infantry regiments assigned to the SOS battalions held the border fortifications and faced the growing pressure of 1938. The figure recalls this dramatic chapter of Czechoslovak history.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with your airways protected. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply primer before painting; for the face and the uniform, acrylic or oil paints and shading with a wash work well.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
