Wiesel 1A2 TOW 1:16 - a detail set (Voyager Model)

An aftermarket detail set from the Chinese brand Voyager Model intended to improve a kit of the modern German light tracked vehicle Wiesel 1A2 in the version with the TOW anti-tank missile system, 1:16 scale. Please note that this is not a model of the vehicle but a set of accessories: the package contains frets of photo-etched metal parts completed with metal wire and plastic profiles. The base kit has to be obtained separately.

What the set offers

The real subject

The Wiesel is a very small tracked vehicle of the German army, designed as an air-transportable weapons carrier for airborne units. Thanks to its low weight and small dimensions it can be transported by helicopter or by transport aircraft. The 1A2 TOW version carries a launcher for TOW anti-tank guided missiles, and the second basic version is armed with an automatic cannon.

Building tips

Separate the photo-etched parts on a hard surface with a sharp knife or with special scissors, and bend them in a photo-etch bending tool or between two metal rulers. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or soldered, as glue for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the parts before painting and use a primer with good adhesion to metal. We recommend the set to modelers who already have experience with photo-etched parts.

The accessory is supplied unpainted, and the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
