A sheet of decals at the large 1:16 scale with the markings of the T-34/85 medium tank of the Polish army, 2nd Regiment of the 1st Armoured Brigade. It is an accessory for a model you build and paint separately, not a kit. The 1:16 scale is used both for static models and for radio-controlled tanks.
The bigger the design, the bigger the area on which air can get caught. So apply the glossy intermediate coat to the whole panel, not just to a small patch under the markings, and let it cure properly. Moisten the base well before you slide the decal off, as the decal then floats and can be straightened at leisure. Always squeeze the water out with a soft brush or a soft cloth from the center toward the edges, otherwise a bubble stays under the film and later shows up as a matte stain.
Large format markings tend to run across welds, eyes, grab handles and rivet heads. Use a two-part system: apply the setting solution to the base before laying, the softener only onto the laid decal. Where the film passes over a projection, prick the bubble with a needle and repeat the drop of softener. Do not touch the wrinkled film while it is drying, or it will tear, as it draws down to the surface by itself.
On large models that are handled often, sealing pays off twice over. Go over the dry markings with gloss varnish and then unify the surface with a matte or semi-matte varnish; the coat also protects the decal from abrasion. Patina, dust and chipping come last.
The package contains decals. The kit, paints, varnishes and softeners are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
