The front wheels of the Sd.Kfz. 250 armored half-track appear in more than one form of tread in period pictures, while a kit usually offers only one. This item carries the less common pattern, so it suits every case where the subject shows a tread different from the one lying in the box.
The Sd.Kfz. 250 was a light German armored half-track from the period of the Second World War. At the rear it moved on a tracked run, at the front it rested on two steerable wheels with pneumatic tires. These are the only place on the whole vehicle with an ordinary casing, and in 1:16 scale every block of the pattern and the side of the casing is visible. Changing the wheels therefore belongs among the alterations a viewer notices without studying the model closely.
