A large injection-molded plastic model of the German StuG III Ausf.G assault gun in its late fit in the large 1:16 scale from Trumpeter. It is a 2-in-1 edition that allows two variants of the machine to be built. The large scale means an imposing size and rich detail. The package combines injection-molded plastic with photo-etched metal, individual track links, metal cable and a decal sheet.
The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) was a German assault gun built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. It was originally meant to support infantry, but thanks to its low silhouette and effective gun it also became a feared tank destroyer. The Ausf.G version was the most widespread and most heavily produced variant; late machines were given a number of production changes. The StuG III was among the most numerously produced German armored vehicles of the Second World War.
In the large 1:16 scale the detail of the superstructure and the running gear comes into its own — paint it before finishing. Glue the plastic parts with modeling plastic cement and the photo-etched and metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After a coat of primer and airbrush paint, bring the large surface to life with a wash and with pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear.
