An etched instrument panel in 1:72 scale for a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IIa aircraft for the kit by the brand Airfix.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.II followed on from the first production form of this British fighter and differed from it above all in a more powerful engine and small changes of equipment. The letter a in the designation of the version refers to an armament consisting of machine guns, while the b form carried cannon. The inside of the cockpit stayed narrow and the instrument panel is visible at first glance in an open cockpit.
Etched parts of the instrument panel in 1:72 scale intended for the kit by the brand Airfix. The replacement is an order of magnitude thinner than the corresponding part from the kit, so the dials and the bezels of the instruments come out finer and the panel does not look oversized. The extent of the set and the way it is assembled are given by the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
When separating the sheet, lay it on a hard surface and cut the parts off with a sharp blade, as twisting bends them even where they are not meant to be bent. Lay small pieces out in advance on a light surface, so that they do not get lost. It is glued with a small quantity of super glue, as an excess fills the detail of the instruments. Before painting, wash the surface, degrease it and apply a primer. The dials are usually painted in at the very end, and a drop of gloss varnish in each instrument then imitates the glass.
The model, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
