The real subject

The North American P-51D Mustang was an American fighter of the Second World War, famous for its long range and for its role as an escort fighter for bomber formations over Europe. The D version has the distinctive teardrop canopy with an excellent view, and the rounded framing of that canopy is the key to a faithful model.

Use

• Lift the masks off the sheet with tweezers and stick them onto clean, degreased glazing.
• Apply the inner parts before closing the canopy and the outer ones before painting.
• Spray the color of the frame, and once it is dry the final outer shade.
• Remove the masks while the clear coat is still fresh.
