Stick them onto a sanding block or a shaped tool and you have a very fine sanding surface ready at once. 1500 grit serves for the final smoothing of a finish and for preparing a glossy surface. It is a consumable modeling material, not a kit.

Sanding creates dust, so use respiratory protection. Sanding wet is recommended for a finer result.
