A single bottle of acrylic paint for modelers. It is an AMMO of Mig Jimenez acrylic paint with the shade name Hot Metal Blue. The shade name also carries the Hot Metal line designation, under which the manufacturer makes further paints with the same base to their names.
Before you take the paint to a model under way it pays to try it on a scrap piece of plastic, on a leftover sprue or on an old part-built kit. That tells you several things at once: how the shade looks in your workshop under your light, how it behaves on your base and whether the consistency you are working with suits you.
The test matters all the more because the paint need not look the same on the test piece and on the model. The color of the base, its sheen and the thickness of the coat applied all play a part. If you keep the test sample and write the shade name on it, you gradually build up a color chart of your own, which is more useful when planning a color scheme than any printed picture. Thanks to it you can lay the scheme out on the bench before you even touch the kit under way.
Keep out of the reach of children. Work in a ventilated area and use respiratory protection when spraying. The manufacturer's instructions on the label always take precedence.
