A set of color 3D decals for detailing the interior of the two-seat F-4G Phantom II in 1:48 scale. The decals have relief and color, they are glued directly onto the plastic cockpit parts and they replace hand-painting of the instrument panels and the side consoles. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for the Meng kit.
The F-4G Wild Weasel V was a specialized derivative of the Phantom, created by converting machines of the F-4E version. It served to find and suppress ground radars, for which it received an extensive receiving and processing suite; the antenna section of that system replaced the cannon in the nose. The crew consisted of a pilot and an electronic warfare officer in the rear cockpit, whose equipment differs from the classic Phantom precisely because of the special fit. For a modeler this means that the cockpit of the F-4G cannot be mistaken for an ordinary fighter or reconnaissance version.
Clean up and degrease the interior parts; the surface has to be smooth and dry. Soak the decal briefly in lukewarm water, let it release from the paper backing and slide it into place, fine-tuning the position with a soft brush. Blot the excess water away and let it dry thoroughly. Dose the softener a little at a time, only where the decal is to follow the shape of the part. Finish both cockpits before you glue the fuselage together.
