Tint film 1:35 Buffalo 6x6 MPCV

This is neither a masking set nor a part for a model. It is tint film, that is, a translucent self-adhesive material cut to the shape of the glazed surfaces of one particular model. It is stuck onto the clear part and stays on it permanently; thanks to it the glass gains the color cast that real armored and sun-shielding glazing has. The target kit is Bronco.

How it differs from a mask

A mask is taken off after spraying and its job ends there. Tint film, by contrast, stays on the model and is on view. That is why it is worked with more carefully: every speck of dust caught under it, every fingerprint and every air bubble stays permanently part of the result.

Use

• Work in a dust-free space and with clean, degreased hands.
• Wash the clear part in lukewarm water with dish soap and let it dry out completely.
• Lay the film on from one edge and smooth it down gradually, so that no air is closed in under it.
• Pierce a small bubble with the point of a blade and squeeze it out; with a large one it is better to take the film off and stick it on again.
• Stick the film on only once the painting and the weathering are finished, or you will get dust on it.
