This SX-Art set holds clear parts for the optics of the launcher vehicle of the 9K114 Shturm-S antitank missile system, that is for a model built on a tracked armored personnel carrier. It replaces the plastic vision ports, the periscopes and the windows of the guidance equipment, which are cut out of the kit and replaced with a clear part. The set is not a kit of the vehicle, it is a detailing accessory.
On vehicles with guidance and observation equipment the optics are the main identifying feature of the silhouette and at the same time the place where a model most often loses credibility. Painted plastic catches the light differently than glass. Holographic film has a glint of its own that shifts color with the viewing angle, so it does not have to be painted and reads as a transparent element even on a matted vehicle.
The parts belong on the model right at the end, after spraying, decals and weathering. Clean and degrease the openings left by the plastic parts, try the shape dry and only then fix it. A clear glue for windows that does not haze as it cures is the right choice. Remove dust or pigment from the surroundings with a dry cotton swab, as wet cleaning puts needless strain on a glossy surface.
