A limited edition kit of the legendary Czechoslovak Velorex three-wheeler in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Art Scale. It is a multimedia kit that combines injection-molded plastic parts with resin details, photo-etched parts and clear parts for the glazing. Given the tiny scale and the fine accessories, it is intended rather for more advanced modelers.
The Velorex is an iconic Czechoslovak vehicle with a tube frame covered in leatherette. It was built by the Stransky brothers and became famous as an affordable and undemanding means of transport, popular among other things with drivers with a disability. With its fabric body on a tube frame it is an absolute oddity among cars.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off and clean up the casting blocks, and glue them with super glue. Bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and glue them with super glue as well. The fine fabric surfaces and the leatherette body appreciate thin coats of paint laid on with an airbrush and a subtle patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
