An add-on set in 1:144 scale for a model of the wide-body Lockheed L-1011 TriStar airliner. The extent of the parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Lockheed L-1011 TriStar is a wide-body airliner from the 1970s with three powerplants. Two are slung under the wing and the third sits in the rear fuselage, with the air fed to it by a duct passing through the root of the vertical tail. It is exactly this feature that gives the TriStar a silhouette that cannot be confused with any other type, and in 1:144 scale it makes it a rewarding model for a collection of airliners.
Add-on parts in 1:144 scale for a model of this type. Which sections of the model they replace or complete, and how many are in the package, is described in the manufacturer's instructions; follow them when choosing the order of work as well.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down, so that you do not cut into its shape. Dry-fit the seating surfaces and fill any slack, because in a small scale every gap shows under a gloss finish. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue according to the material of the part; on parts that are not polystyrene, cement for plastic does not hold and super glue is used.
The aircraft kit, the paints, the decals and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
