A plastic model of the Zoffy combat suit from the Japanese Ultraman series, supplied to be assembled.
Responsibility details are not available.
Zoffy belongs among the heroes of the Japanese Ultraman series, which has been filmed and drawn since the 1960s. The newer treatments of this material work with combat suits named after the individual heroes, and it is just such a suit that this item carries in its name. The form is therefore technical: segmented armor with pronounced color areas and a visor, not a costume in the original sense.
It is a plastic model of a character intended to be assembled and displayed. How many parts the package contains, how they join and which accessories or spare parts are enclosed is given in the manufacturer's instructions. Go by them when assembling the joints as well, because the order of steps cannot be reversed as easily on a figure as on equipment.
Separate the parts with nippers a little away from the part and even the remaining nub out with a sharp blade and fine abrasive paper. On a figure it pays off to clean the parts up before joining them, because some places cannot be reached later. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Smooth color areas stand out in thin layers; bring out the joints between the panels with a dark glaze and wipe the excess away. Leave the visor and the gloss elements until the end, so that they do not get dusty.
The set is suitable for collectors of figures and for modelers who want something other than equipment in their display case.
Paints, glue and further building materials are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
