Masks for spraying the national insignia with a white outline on a model of the Nakajima A6M2-N floatplane fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Nakajima A6M2-N was a floatplane fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was created by converting the A6M2 carrier fighter: in place of landing gear it received a large central float and two auxiliary floats under the wings. It served where there was nowhere to build runways, mainly in the island areas of the Pacific. The Allies used the code designation Rufe for it.
Masks for spraying the national insignia in the form with a white outline, in 1:48 scale. The insignia is laid on with paint, so no carrier film is left behind and the edges do not shine on a matte surface. The outlined form is sprayed in two steps: first the white area and, once it has dried, the red disc over it. The placement of the insignia on the machine, the number of parts and the order in which they are used are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Lay the mask onto a dry base coat and press the edges down with a blunt tool, so that paint cannot flow under them. Spray in thin coats and leave enough time for drying between the white and the red. Lift the mask off as soon as the last coat has set; on fully cured paint the edge peels away less easily. On floatplanes take care that the mask seats on the curved surfaces of the floats as well.
The aircraft kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
